Mona Shah MBE is the Founder, Director, and Head Chocolatier behind Harry Specters, the award-winning chocolate social enterprise she established in 2012. With a background in governance, Mona didn't set out to make chocolate - she set out to make a difference.
Inspired by her autistic son Ash, Mona wanted to create a future where neurodivergent people were seen, valued, and given real opportunities in the workplace. Chocolate became her tool for change - and she took that seriously. Mona trained as a chocolatier through the Academy of Chocolate, one of the world's most respected authorities on fine chocolate, giving her the technical expertise to match her passion. Fearless flavours, a clear mission, and a determination to shift perceptions of autism in employment followed.
Mona's work has been recognised with an MBE for her contribution to social enterprise and inclusion. She continues to lead Harry Specters as both a business and a movement, one truffle at a time.
